This one day free workshop open to everyone will be run on or near Trent University Campus in Peterborough, ON. Come join us from 10:30am - 1:30pm for a day of exploration, and learning to tell the story left behind in the tracks. We will start off with a short talk on animal track id and gait interpretation then spend the afternoon learning tricks to help deepen our experiences as a trackers and naturalists.

EAW Skills Intensive
Prerequisite: Empowering Ancient Ways
This 3 day course will be an extension of guided workshop time from the Empowering Ancient Ways course. This is an opportunity to put in some serious dirt time refining skills you began to practice during the first course and practice some of those we lectured about but never had time to put to practice. There will be very little lecturing and lots of hand on experience to be gained with instructors near by to answer questions.
This course also serves as a great reviw for those planning on attending the fall Advanced EAW class.

This is a bi-annual gathering where we come together to teach each other skills, tell stories, trade goods, caretake the land and each other, and celebrate life. All skill levels are welcome.

I will be leading this open enrollment 7 day trip for the second time this fall. Last years trip brought us beautiful fall colour and lots of wildlife. Studying Ecology Through the Eyes of a Tracker

This is a one day program designed for the Outward Bound Canada College semester students where we will learn to engage our senses in the wilderness and start to discover the stories people and animals leave behind through their tracks.
Earth Mentorship

This will be a power point presentation presented to the Adventure Tourism and Eco Tourism Programs at Sir Sanford Fleming College. I will be talking about life as a wilderness guide, observations I have made in the guiding and outdoor education industry, lessons learned from nature, and why I have started of my business.
3 Day Wilderness Living Workshop
When: Dec 5 -7, 2007
Where: Algonquin Park
This 3 day program run for Outward Bounds Canada College Semester program will focus on applying traditional wilderness living skills in a real wilderness environment. It will be a hands on course. Topics include: fire by friction, flint and steel fires, primitive cooking techniques, animal tacking, sensory development, rope making, various bush craft, and more.
The Art and Science of Tracking
When: February 7 - 10 2008
Where: Northern Edge Algonquin, South River, ON
I will be an assistant instructor for Alexis Burnett, a well accomplished naturalist, primitive skills practitioner, and tracker, with hundreds of hours of tracking experience.
The program will be 4 days of discovering the mysteries of the natural world and telling the stories that are left behind through tracks and signs. Come and learn about yourself, the wilderness, and the who, what, where, when, and why of track interpretation.
